Initialization string for Rockwell chipset modem:
~^M~ AT S7=45 S0=0 L1 V1 X4 W2 &c1 E1 Q0^M
This helps for dropped connections as it increases the lost carrier hangup delay:
s10=240
Recommended Fax Modems
For HylaFAX, it is recommended to use MultiTech MT2834ZDXB configured as Class 2 (recommended) or MultiTech MT5634ZBA-V92 configured as Class 1.
