Outlook 2003 POP mail client Setup
Open Outlook 2003. Click Tools -> E-mail Accounts.
Select View or Change an E-mail Account if changing an existing. Select Add a New Account if starting from scratch. If creating a new account on the screen that comes up select POP3 and click Next.
Select the proper account (there is often only one account) and click Change.
On this screen fill in your name and e-mail address. Use mail.sonoracomm.com for both POP3 and SMTP mail servers. Your User name is the part of your e-mail address before the @ symbol. If your e-mail is
This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
then your User name is 'max'.
Do not select SPA.
Click More Settings.
Rename the account, if you wish, then click on the Outgoing Server tab.
Select My outgoing server requires authhentication and Use same settings...
Click OK, then Next then Finish.
Important: Remember to restart Outlook so the changes actually take effect. Make sure it's really closed before reopening it too!
